Paige L. Talley, 55, of Louisville, Kentucky, plead guilty to wire fraud for embezzling 800,000 from her former employer.She was an office manager and she submitted fraudulent travel related reimbursement requests. It took the company five years to figure out that an employee was stealing money from them.
It does not say how she got caught.
She received an 18 months sentence. She said she had a gambling addiction and she was an abused spouse of an alcoholic husband. I assume she gambled to stay away from her husband.
