Thoughts on Casino Lis

I met Robert Lis the morning I went to the Prison at Otisville in the waiting cell at MDC Brooklyn back in September 2014. He was the one who told me that a CO was busted by the feds for bringing in contraband. After reading about his story in the newspaper, he did tell the truth about his career but did not disclose that the mafia was after him. One part of the story that I cannot believe is that he jumped over fences to run away from the police/feds. I never saw him run to anything. He is always either sitting or walking.

He did love to explain to people how he made his money at the casinos. He never explained why he ended up in jail. He blames it on his ex wife, saying that she ratted him out since he had a new girlfriend. CO Scelba warned me to stay away from him as he is trouble but I think he was kidding....

Nice guy, I just wish him the best when he gets out. He also said he had an appeal pending and was hoping to get out earlier, although it does not look like that right now with a release date of 2018, as noted above.   

Well , we are off to the next story, as the saying goes, so many criminals, so little time....
