There is a famous ritual phrase cited at weddings which is ,"till death due us part". Where is the origin of the phrase? I found it at Ruth 1:17, where it says for only death separates me and you.
But does death really separate us? I added up the above phrase and it came to 945. Another phrase with the same number can be found at Psalms 25:13 where it says, nafsho betov talin, or his soul, in goodness shall repose. Rashi, the super commentator says that it refers to a righteous soul reposing in his grave.
This teaches us that the souls have life after the body expires.
