According to the NY Times, Donald L. Blankeship got sentenced to a year in Federal prison on a misdemeanor charge for violating mine safety standards.
He beat federal charges. 29 persons died in a mine explosion, under ownership of Massey Energy company. See story here...http://www.nytimes.com/2016/04/07/us/donald-blankenship-sentenced-to-a-year-in-prison-in-mine-safety-case.html?_r=0. He claims he is innocent.
His lawyers may be appealing. Trust me, the last thing in the world he was thinking about when he may become the leader of his company that one day he would sit in jail. When you are a corporate leader, you are on a power trip. However, prison is very humbling as noted from my experience and others like John Rigas.
You don't need a suit or tie in jail although you may take your glasses and make sure you wear them.
In the event he goes to prison, this what he can expect based on what I went through, especially the part relevant to the prison camp...http://www.amazon.com/PRISON-expect-Federal-Bureau-Prisons-ebook/dp/B011GTWLOG
