Rejected Plea

Christopher Epps, courtesy wapt.com

This is a rare occurrence where a person agrees to take a plea but then the prosecutor takes back the plea. This has happened to Mississippi Corrections commissioner Christopher Epps, who was ready to get sentenced but the prosecutor expanded the case . See story here...http://www.wapt.com/news/central-mississippi/jackson/former-prison-boss-could-get-23year-sentence-in-bribery-case/38965084

This must be a very harrowing experience for Mr. Epps, not knowing how much time he will sit in prison. That is probably the worst part of the case. Once you are sentenced, you can set your mind to it. The problem is the unknown.
