According to news reports,"Former Metro Nashville Airport Authority official John T. Howard was sentenced Monday to two years in federal prison and ordered to pay $1.4 million in restitution stemming from charges of money laundering, wire fraud and accepting a bribe.Howard’s sentencing comes one week after an airport contractor who allegedly joined in on the scheme was charged with conspiracy. Tim Rucker was charged with conspiracy and the lesser crimes of wire fraud and money laundering on April 4.According to the information filed by the government, Howard filed work orders and approved payments for Rucker and other contractors to do work that was never ultimately performed.Howard’s attorneys, Ed Yarbrough and Alex Little, sought one day in prison and three years of supervised release. The U.S. Attorney’s Office asked for between 57 and 71 months based on the federal sentencing guidelines.Judge Aleta Trauger said she knew it was a difficult day for Howard and his family, but said she did not have much option but to give him a prison term.“The judge was very fair with him under the circumstances,” Yarbrough said. “We appreciate the fact the sentence was well below the guidelines. This gives him an opportunity to be a positive factor in his community in the future.” See story here...http://www.tennessean.com/story/news/local/davidson%20/2016/04/11/ex-nashville-airport-official-sentenced-prison-fraud-case/82892998/

How much time will he spend behind bars? He will probably end up in a camp and if he would end up in a place like Otisville, he would sit about one year and then head to a halfway house and then get 6 months of home confinement.

So what can he expect in federal prison? Read my story here...http://www.amazon.com/PRISON-expect-Federal-Bureau-Prisons-ebook/dp/B011GTWLOG
