It could have been a lot worse..

track where lady fell
I just read a story in NY Daily News about a Brazilian model who fell on the subway tracks after experiencing a dizzy spell, and who lost her arm and leg. See story here...http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/brooklyn/brazilian-woman-lost-limbs-nyc-subway-undergoes-surgery-article-1.2737998

Her brother is complaining, and rightfully so, why New York does not have systems in place like other cities called platform doors which would prevent such a tragedy. Hopefully the NYC subway system will learn something from this tragedy. In any event, the victim can sue the MTA for her injuries. It won't bring her arm leg but the money will somehow help her in life. Hopefully medical technology will keep advancing where she will have a bionic arm and leg. I know the feeling. My father lost his hand in a factory accident back in the 1960's and he barely wore his prothetic arm. It was too bulky. Today, things are more light weight and advanced.  Remember, when there is life, there is hope.

Let's pray for the victim, Luisa Harger, and hope she recovers quickly.

I had my own issues with the subway and I document it here...https://www.amazon.com/Day-At-Subway-Incompetence-SUBWAY-ebook/dp/B012E6O3GE
