Barnes and Noble was victim of Mr.Izzo's theft scheme |
Dominick James Izzo, 49, of Piscataway, New Jersey, plead guilty to transportation of stolen goods and one count of tax evasion. What was his crime? He used a bag lined with aluminum to evade the anti theft devices at Barnes and Noble and other stores. He made $399,485 from selling the stolen merchandise on E bay and did not pay taxes in the amount of $67,360.00. He is a smart thief but he eventually got caught. The story does not say how but perhaps maybe he was caught once in the act.
