Polish fugitive arrested by US Marshalls in NJ

A Polish fugitive, Rafal Kaldon, 38, was picked up by US Marshals based on an extradition request from Poland. See story here....https://www.justice.gov/usao-nj/pr/polish-fugitive-living-bergen-county-new-jersey-arrested-us-marshals . He and an accomplice allegedly killed someone in Poland back in 1996.

Sylwia Kaldon, wife of fugitive

He works as a general contractor in Northern New Jersey, fixing up distressed homes and then his wife, the real estate broker associate, as noted above, working for Cornerstone Realty,as advertised on the internet, sells them, or perhaps he fixes them and sells them on his own. He had a good gig going till he was picked up. There is an article that says she is a real estate broker. See article here....http://www.northjersey.com/news/garfield-fugitive-arrested-in-fatal-beating-at-disco-in-poland-20-years-ago-1.1520897. I don't know the difference between a broker associate and a real estate broker.

There are a lot more questions than answers in this story.  Did his wife know anything about his dark past? Did he tell her anything? If she did know then she would be perhaps harboring a fugitive.

What also does not make sense to me is how did he enter this country, with a visa or without a visa?
The government article says he took his passport from his sister immediately after the attack and fled Poland. Did he sneak into this country? What also does not make sense is why would he be renewing his work permit every year with Immigration? From the little I know about immigration, since I was an immigration lawyer before I was disbarred and thrown in jail, if you are married to a US Citizen you eventually get a green card that is good for 10 years. If he has a US Citizen wife and children, why did they not approve his green card? Something is fishy over here.

When I was arrested by the Toronto Fugitive squad on a warrant from the United States in Canada, they considered me the biggest flight risk in the world, capable of doing crazy things and of course they denied by my bail. At the end of the day, I did my time and came out of jail with no incidents and my family waited for me. Now you have this alleged killer requesting bail. Would the community be safe with such a person on the streets? When I applied for bail in the USA, the government produced a thick document of people who had bail and simply fled.

Trust me, the family is in a lot of pain now and I would not want to be in their shoes. However, there is no statute of limitations on a murder case and if they say what he did is true, he deserves to be put on the next plane back to Poland to get his justice due. They say he and an accomplice maliciously attacked someone in a disco, beat and kicked the guy until he collapsed and died at the scene. The people in the disco tried to resuscitate the victim but it was to no avail. If you do the math, he was about 18 at the time so he may have been an adult.

He is probably sitting in a county jail under horrible conditions. When I was awaiting extradition, I was in a horrible place too, called the Don Jail.

This is a very tough story, especially for his wife and kids.
