A man from Virginia plead guilty for stealing identities to file fraudulent tax returns to obtain government refunds. All in all, 19 persons were involved in filing 12, 000 phony returns to get 42 million in refunds. King got almost 500,000 out of it.
He will not enjoy one penny of it in Federal Prison. I just don't understand the logic of these thieves.
Do they not realize you cannot steal from the Federal Government?
How did the government find out? The article does not say. I assume someone complained when the real person did not get back his her refund and this may have lead to the investigation.
