Olney , Illinois....

what did he do? He stole from the Social Security piggy bank..
According to the feds..."James L. Porter, Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois, announced today that David Mitchell Carter, 50, of Olney, Illinois, was sentenced on May 10, 2016, on the charge of Theft of Government Funds in the United States District Court in Benton, Illinois. The theft charge relates to fraud upon the Social Security benefit program. The district court sentenced Carter to six months in prison, to be followed by three years of supervised release, with the first six months to be served under home confinement. The court also ordered Carter to pay restitution to the Social Security Administration in the amount of $77,353.00.
Court proceedings indicated that from January 2008, continuing to January 2014, Carter stole money belonging to the Social Security Administration by concealing his employment status in order to receive benefits from the Social Security Administration’s Title II Disability Insurance Benefits program, to which he knew he was not entitled by failing to disclose income through employment." What was this man thinking that he would not get caught? The psychology of crime is that if you do something more than once you get emboldened and you think you did nothing wrong as noted by Yoma 86b and Koheles 8:11. However Jeremiah 17:11 tells us that when you make honey dishonestly, you will lose it and be proved a fool.
