Real convictions based on false tests

I am shocked to read about a story in the NY Times that says the police use a 2 dollar drug test and most of the time people plead guilty to a drug crime, even if they are innocent. See story here...http://www.nytimes.com/2016/07/10/magazine/how-a-2-roadside-drug-test-sends-innocent-people-to-jail.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=mini-moth&region=top-stories-below&WT.nav=top-stories-below&_r=0

So many people's lives have been destroyed on a lie. No wonder this country is affected by all  kinds of natural disasters. G-d hates falsity.

So many laboratories have been discredited. The only time forensics makes sense is when you watch it on a fictional show.

I always wondered why in the Torah/Bible someone can only be charged by two witnesses. After reading stories like the NY Times expose, no wonder. I hope Ms. Albritton sues the two cops that arrested her, and the city of Houston and gets a nice verdict. On the other hand, at there is an integrity unit in Houston uncovering the injustice of the wrongful convictions.

And the authorities wonder why people lose respect for the system. The story is a damning accusation and people deserve better and more humane treatment, especially when it comes to the tool they use to determine to jail someone.

I have been in jail and I don't wish it on my enemies.
