There is an excellent article I found at NPR.com about giving a second chance to prisoners and they mention some bakeries that specifically hire convicts. See article here...http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2016/04/15/469942932/this-bakery-offers-a-second-chance-for-women-after-prison.
People don't understand that for most people leaving prison, including myself, all of our prior contacts are destroyed so we really need help from the outside. It is as if a tornado did a direct hit on our house and there is no insurance. So us convicts really appreciate if we are given a second chance. And trust me, when you are coming out of jail, you only want to work hard to rebuild your life.
