American Hostages held in Iran for 444 days finally get compensation

According to NY Times, each of the 53 hostages or their estates will collect 4.4 million dollars authorized by the US Govt. The money apparently came from a 9 billion dollar fine against BNP Paribas Bank for violating Iranian sanctions.

I personally knew of the hostages. Who? Barry Rosen. How? He was my college professor back in Brooklyn College. He gave a course there between 1981 and 1985.
