When Prison becomes a death sentence

Sometimes one will enter prison thinking he/she will come out soon. But it does not always happen that way. NY Times  shares an interesting, heart breaking story

When I was in prison, fort dix in particular, I met an older man, looking like a smurf, by the name of David Solan. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison. He told me he was ranked #30 in math in 1960.
A brilliant man looking like Rabbi Moses Feinstein, languishing away in prison. He recently had heart attacks and stents put in. He has four years to go.

Hopefully, he will come out alive and not in a box.
