Mortgage Fraud nets Westchester man with 37 months in Federal Prison

A Westchester man , Selim Zherka, was sentenced on 12/22/15 to 37 months imprisonment plus fines and forfeiture for submitting false tax returns to secure loans on real estate in Tennessee.

The article says he has been detained since August 2014 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) in lower Manhattan. He has to serve 87.5 percent of his sentence. However, if he ends up in a camp then he may get 9 months of halfway house/home confinement which means he may have to do another 8 or 9 months of imprisonment.

I was no stranger to the MCC as I sat in that dump for 15 months, awaiting sentencing where I received a 60 months sentence, serving 1316 days before going to a halfway house.
