When you are in jail you meet all kind of characters. Some of them brag about their prior life, some of them cover it up, and there are those in between.

In talking about Kenneth Star, he is a man in between. I worked with him in the Otisville Camp Prison, cleaning tables with a rag and throwing out the garbage into the bin.

He never discussed his crime but he always had sage advice. He explained how to properly put a plastic bag into the garbage can, actually he told me to put as many as ten bags at one time so as not to ever have garbage thrown into an empty plastic can.

He taught me how to polish the freezers and how to clean the tables with the right chemicals.

He had clients such as Sylvester Stallone, Wesley Snipes, Martin Scorsese and famed photographer Annie Leibovitz.

He is still in Otisville but should be coming out soon. He comes to the chapel on holidays and avoids the infighting and politics of the religious Jews.
