In Defense of Rabbi Leib Pinter
I sat with Rabbi Leib Pinter in Otisville satellite camp prison. He is a brilliant person and an outstanding Rebbe. I am not condoning his crime but there are a lot of bigger crooks out there. His grasp of the Talmud is amazing. I attended his Chumash and learning class twice a day. He had issues with the other Jewish inmates over control of the synagogue and I document it in shul wars. I wish him the best the rest of his life.
