According to teh Wall Street Journal...Mr. Caspersen concocted a phony investment fund, invented a fictitious financier and set up bogus Internet domain names and fake email addresses, all part of a bizarre scheme to steal $25 million. The article says he comes from a wealthy and powerful family.
See story here...http://www.wsj.com/articles/prosecutors-charge-park-hill-managing-principal-in-investment-fraud-1459180880. He graduated from Harvard Law School. This must be a real embarrassment to the family although the article says that the elder family patriarch committed suicide when he was under investigation for alleged off shore tax evasion. As Stanley Roy Root of blessed memory used to say, "with every fortune, there is a felony."

We must understand the psychology of crime based on the Torah. It says that if you make money dishonestly, you will lose it and be proved a fool as noted in Jeremiah 17:11. . This is applicable to people as well as nations. Also, why does the sinner commit his crime so many times? Since the wheels of justice turn slowly, the sinner is empowered to continue his crimes, thinking that he will never get caught. See Koheles 8:11. Remember, I do not know this person. I only wish him the best because I would not want to be in his shoes. I went through prison and it is hell on earth. If I can convince one person to stay away from crime, then I accomplished my mission. I did not embarrass this person since the government did that already.  They say you are presumed innocent but it does not work that way in reality. They treat you as if you are the biggest criminal in the world. How can I say that ? Since I went through this madness. When I was held in Canada pending extradition, I applied for bail but the prosecutor vehemently protested and said, he is a fraudster, he is a fraudster. The charges were just allegations  but they treated me as the biggest criminal in the world. I was devastated.

Getting  back to this story, the wealth and power of a criminal means nothing to the feds . They have all the resources, all of the money in the world and they are the all powerful to take on anyone. Of course, G-d is watching to make sure justice is carried out. We are all tools of G-d.
Based on the amount he allegedly stole, he is up the in sky in the sentencing guideline. He may face serious time. Each of the counts carries 20 year term sentences.
So what can he expect in prison if that is his fate? The article says he likes horses and was a major equestrian player. Any horses in prison? You can make believe you are a horse on the Fort Dix track as it is circular like a race track. If convicted, will he use silver spoons in prison? Definitely not. He will be treated like the local drug dealer. To learn more, go here...http://www.amazon.com/PRISON-expect-Federal-Bureau-Prisons-ebook/dp/B011GTWLOG
