Lights out for some prisoners (Georgia)

Criminals entering the system in Georgia

An article in the Times Free Press of Jackson coming out  of Georgia describes prison life for all kinds of offenders, from those doing a few days to those sentenced to die. Prisoners are given a shave. What caught my eye about this story is how the warden pulls the curtain on the window, as if the person's death is part of a broadway show but it is instead a scene of justice or perhaps, injustice. In Federal Prison, we are given either browns, greens, or beige uniforms. If you end up in the SHU, you are given an orange jumpsuit with made in china slippers, and they sure stink from chemicals.
