In what appears to be a complicated story, a black pastor of Jakson, New Jersey got involved with shady Israeli and Russian business men and at the end of the day, gets busted for bribery. For $150,000 bribery, he destroyed his life. He was the chairman of the board of a Federal Credit Union primarily serving low income people. The crooks basically took over his bank and used his bank to continue their fraud, eventually causing the downfall of them and the chairman of the board. His last name, Gross, sounds Jewish but his first name, Trevon, is not.
He can get up to 30 years for his crime. At the end of the day, if he takes a plea he will not sit 30 years.If he takes it to trial and loses, he will get hammered. For federal standards , $150,000 is not a lot of money. If he fully cooperates with the feds and takes down bigger fish, he may get a 5k1 letter and get probation. Too early to tell right now. He looks like a nice family man as he appears on facebook. Problem is when you get involved with manipulators they can take you down. The businessmen were involved with illegal bitcoins. They also, "deliberately misidentified and miscoded customers’ credit and debit card transactions." Looking at his picture, I don't think he would be so cunning. Hopefully, he will get a break at the end of the day.
