A rochester man, Emanuel L. Lutchman was charged with planning an attack on new year's eve on behalf of ISIS. He will face many years behind bars.
The article in the NY Times reports that Lutchman became a Muslim in his prior prison stint.

I also met an individual, Oded Orbach, a Jewish Israeli American, in MCC, Manhattan, who went trial and got 25 years for conspiring in aiding the Taliban. I sat with this man in his two man cell friday evening for Shabbos kiddush services. He is a typically brash, argumentative Israeli. He taught me the importance of walking every single day.
I pray for him as well. That he does teshuva and goes back to his family.
