An article appeared in the Wall Street Journal that says Utah is passing laws reducing prison time for certain crimes. See attached articlehttp://www.wsj.com/articles/trimming-prison-populations-catches-on-1451693975
I think it is a good idea for the following reason; As a former prisoner, you either get the message the first day you get locked up or you will never learn a lesson. I learned the lesson from the first day and even before so for the following 1315 days of my incarceration after the first day, to me it felt like a waste of time and throwing out taxpayer money.
