Adoption Scammer Arrested , may adopt to prison life

Helaman Hansen

According to a news report from the Department of Justice, Mr. Helaman Hansen has been arrested for mail fraud and wire fraud for operating a fraudulent adult-adoption program that targeted undocumented aliens.  See story here....http://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/california-man-arrested-charged-adult-adoption-scheme-defraud-undocumented-immigrants

Mr. Hansen who advertises on his website that he is a doctor, made a claim that an immigrant can become a US citizen if adopted by an American. At first he charged an annual fee $150 and then the fees went up to $10,000. To tell you the truth, I heard of a lot of scams, but this is one is up there for chutzpah.

I figured this must be him since his website discusses adult adoption and immigration and we have the phrase in the govt article and in the article below Americans Helping America. The following text is on his website...

"Dr. Helaman Hansen is driven by a deep relationship with God, love for the disenfranchised and undocumented international citizens of the world. He has a burning passion to help his community.
Born in 1952 Auckland, New Zealand, Dr. Hansen has obtained several degrees: Bachelor of Arts Degree, Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, Bachelors of Science in Business, Masters of Business Administration, and a Doctorate Degree in Business and Marketing Management. Amid his great accomplishments in the business field, he also found time to expand his education in fields such as Psychology, Business Law, Human Relations Management, Community Leadership, and Migration Law.
Over the past 40 years, he has built a highly successful track record in the government, private and the public sectors. Dr. Hansen worked in hotel management with large tourist organizations in Australia, as a product manager for an auto engineering manufacturing company, as a general project manager for the British Petroleum Oil Company, and was the Chief Migration Adviser for the Australian Federal Government.
In 2000 he migrated to the United States of America where he founded the Pacific National Television Station, Native Hawaiian Pacific Islanders Chamber of Commerce, AHA/TV and AHA/ radio stations, Americans Helping America Chamber of Commerce and founded the Community Independent Business Owners corporation.

Invited by President George W. Bush in 2004

Dr. Hansen was invited by then President George W. Bush in 2004, to serve as a member of the National Business Advisory Council of the United States.
For his service, he was awarded the National Businessman of the year award in Washington DC in 2003 and 2006. He received a special award by the Superior Court of California for the development of supporting documents for the Immigration, Social Security administration and California Superior Court administration of the Adult Adoption and Migration Program. He is a recipient of the Sacramento Police Department Community Minority Recruiter Award.
He is married to Viola Hansen and is the proud father of three children, twenty – three grand children, and the excited father of eighteen adopted children."
If he goes to trial and loses, he will get hammered. If he wins, then he can continue wearing his necklace wreath. If he takes a plea, then he may do some time in the slammer where he will adopt to prison life.
this is at Hansen's facebook page

Read his article, he had so many degrees, accomplished so much. However, somewhere down the road, he became corrupted. He collected a lot of money from innocent and vulnerable immigrants. He had a lot of connections to the government. He says he met former President Bush. Just go to his facebook page, he shows his pictures at President Bush's dinner. He thought he was invincible and untouchable. Money and power corrupted him. But the bottom line is , no one is above the law. He must have duped a lot of immigrants based on the pictures alone. Or perhaps he told people that the laws will change and he is working on it based on his connections. It is like someone who has a cancer is desperate for a cure. Even if there is a slim chance, he will take the medicine. Same here, some immigrants are desperate for a green card and you will find those who will take advantage of them for a profit. He will now regret what he did. At least I did when I got arrested and even before....

If he ends up in prison, he will have a lot of time to connect to God and strengthen his moral compass. To read what federal prison is all about, go here... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B011GTWLOG
