Attorney General Lynch met with Mexican Attorney General and she says that progress was "historic."

El Chapo was head of the Sinaloa cartel, the biggest importer of cocaine in the United States. Originally, Mexico said it would never extradite him but now, due to the embarrassing tunnel jail break, Mexico has a different mindset.

If brought to USA, where will he be temporarily incarcerated? Either in MCC, downtown Manhattan or MDC Brooklyn. When I was in MCC and MDC, I came across a lot of big time drug dealers from Mexico and Colombia. When I was extradited from Canada, I was in the SHU in MCC for two days. It was freezing cold back on January 24, 2012. In FCI Fort Dix, I saw the inmate who was the inspiration for the movie Blow, he did like 30 years. Another Mexican was there who did 30 years and had like 10 to go. America jails people for so much time as if we live hundreds of years.

As he is a high profile figure, he would probably be kept in the SHU (Solitary Confinement).
