40 Wall Street, 60th floor

This incident reminds me of a lawyer who we shared an office at 40 Wall Street, 60th floor, whose name was Lawrence Mark Krause,  who was killed coming home during a rainy windstorm back in 2010.   See article here...http://www.northjersey.com/news/two-killed-by-falling-tree-in-teaneck-identified-1.1256663 . The man was a very dedicated lawyer who would work till late at night working on cases. He used to come to our house on Shabbos when I lived at 503 Harold Street, Staten Island, NY in the early 1990's. Originally, he was not frum but later became a baal teshuva.  The tragedy of this story is that he left behind a wife and a two month old daughter. One who attended the funeral said it was more painful than attending a funeral of a murdered Israelil soldier.

I am no stranger to tragedy as my mother was killed in the car as we drove to Canada erev Passover back on April 21, 1978. Life is very painful at times, but it's our faith that keeps us going.

People must realize that storms are a time of judgment and one must use caution travelling through these conditions..See what I write about storms and God here...http://www.amazon.com/Hurricanes-God-connection-David-Langner-ebook/dp/B014RFZQES
