According to Bloomberg News, Rajat Gupta, ex Goldman Director is home from prison after serving 19 months of a 30 month prison sentence (other online articles say he got two years, which makes more sense).

Being on home confinement, it means that you get to sleep at home at night but you have to go once a week to the halfway house to get your weekly passes. At the halfway house, you get to do a breathalyzer and urine test as well as a pat down. You are monitored by a gps bracelet that is attached to your leg and that has to be charged for 45 minutes, twice a day. Even though you wear a monitor, the halfway house will call you at random times of the day and night. They usually call me between 12 AM and 2 AM.
What about movement? Can you go to the candy store and buy some chocolate? Yes and no. What do you mean? If you put it down as your weekly pass, then you can go one time a week to the candy store and if you don't put it down and you go anyway, then you will be in violation and you will be brought back to the halfway house, and lose potential good time. As long as it is on the pass, you can go to temple, doctor, laundromat, school, store, gym, lawyer and barber shop. You need to make a contact call when you leave your house, when you arrive at your destination, when you leave your destination and when you arrive home. If you don't make the contact call, you may get a shot or ticket and then you can get some form of punishment.
What about a walk in the park or a trip to the beach? Can you do that while on home confinement? You can only do it with a special pass that you fill up and give to your case worker. If approved by the case worker and supervisor, then you are good to go.

The article says he was at the camp at Devens, MA. I heard from the grape vine that the place is a dump.
