Cruise into near catastrophe

The newly commissioned Anthem of the Seas goes right into a budding nor'easter along the Carolina coast as I was shocked to see images from  passengers, courtesy ABC news,  of a lot of oveturned furniture tossed around on the inside of the boat, as the boat listed at 45 degrees amid 30 foot waves.
See story here...http://abcnews.go.com/US/royal-caribbean-cruise-ship-rocked-hurricane-force-winds/story?id=36784948. Passengers were told to stay inside their cabins as the ship was tossed around like a toy.

I cannot understand with the technology of today how a captain and his crew cannot check with accuweather, national weather service or weather.com and wait out the storm instead of going directly into the path of terror. Imagine, you paid thousands of dollars for a beautiful cruise and in a split second you feel like your life is soon to end. For some, it was their honeymoon to hell and for
others, they must have felt like it was the Titanic all over again. Scary isn't it? Passengers need to read Psalm 107 as G-d saved them.

Some news reports said they hit hurricane force winds. Talking about hurricanes, I wrote a short story in how hurricanes connect to God. Interested? read it here.... http://www.amazon.com/Hurricanes-God-connection-David-Langner-ebook/dp/B014RFZQES
