Top French-Swiss Chef dies of apparent suicide

French-Swiss Chef Benoit Violier, in front of his restaurant,Restaurant de l’Hôtel de Ville,

According to the New York Times, Top chef Benoît Violier  apparently took his life with a fire arm.  See full article here...http://www.nytimes.com/2016/02/02/world/europe/benoit-violier-chef-dies.html?module=WatchingPortal&region=c-column-middle-span-region&pgType=Homepage&action=click&mediaId=wide&state=standard&contentPlacement=2&version=internal&contentCollection=www.nytimes.com&contentId=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nytimes.com%2F2016%2F02%2F02%2Fworld%2Feurope%2Fbenoit-violier-chef-dies.html&eventName=Watching-article-click&_r=0

Why would someone take his life over a piece of meat? First of all, if you anything about food preparation, restaurants and catering, it is an extremely stressful occupation and to top it off, the article says that chef Violier was a perfectionist so you have a time bomb waiting to explode.

Moreover, the article says he was going to lose a point in the Michelin guide and he became very distraught, leading him to take his life.

We also see people who take their life are those that lose all of their money. An allusion can be found from Gematria, or numerology where the difference between wealth, or osher, 570, and ani, or poor, 130, is 440 which is met or death. A poor man is like a dead man, hence that is why you hear of suicide when people lose it all. Moreover, the Torah forbids suicide. See Genesis 9:5-6.

My best friend neighbor Sandor Czarny from 59 Brunswick Ave, Toronto, Canada killed himself around 1982 from a gunshot wound to his head. Why did he take suicide? He was a perfectionist soccer player and student and during a soccer match, a ball knocked his eye out and he became very depressed to the point of taking his life.

So how do you stop suicide? You have to convince the person that things will turn around and that the problem or whatever is the source of the depression is only temporary. You have to give them something to live for. That is my humble opinion.
